ABOUT US


We're a twenty-something couple called Kat and Ollie and we live with our wild lurcher called Rex. We met at Oxford Brookes University and moved to a small town called Wantage located in Oxfordshire in September 2019. We quickly realised how many amazing local businesses there are that offer beautiful, high quality products - whether that's candles, homewares, chocolate or gin (and everything in between) - and we just want to show them off to anyone and everyone! 

 

We're passionate about supporting local business, especially during the current pandemic. We've really seen how local businesses have been fundamental to keeping spirits high in their communities. Whether that's by delivering pots of paint to our door to satisfy our DIY needs (yes, the chest of drawers needed to be painted pink) or dropping off a lemon drizzle with a handwritten note (again, a necessity).
 

We want you to be able to experience the joy that local businesses have given us by delivering a box of hand picked products to your door every month. Whether you live in Oxfordshire or further afield, we hope that you'll enjoy unboxing your Oxonbox and seeing what our area has to offer!

What's included in my Oxonbox?

The contents of your Oxonbox will vary each month as we aim to bring you the best that our local businesses in Oxfordshire have to offer. We will include a variety of products including but not limited to: skincare, soft drinks, craft products, non-perishable food items, gift ideas and homewares! 

 

Each product is carefully handpicked by us and we ensure that your Oxonbox is real value for money by having a lower price than if you were to buy each item individually including postage. We won't include any tester sized products - every product you find in your Oxonbox is a full sized product that is available to buy. 

 

We also include shipping free of charge so all you pay is £39.99 per box. No hidden costs.

Do I have to live in Oxfordshire to be able to subscribe to Oxonbox?

Absolutely not, we can ship Oxonboxes to anyone living in mainland UK. We'd be delighted to showcase the amazing local businesses we have here in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area - we might be biased but we think we have the best brands and would love to show them off nationwide! You can still feel smug about supporting independent, if not local, business.

When will I receive my Oxonbox?

The deadline to subscribe for each month's Oxonbox is the 15th of every month. Boxes are shipped around the 28th of each month (depending on which day of the week it falls on). Any subscriptions made after the cut-off date of the 15th will fall to the next month so you will receive your first box the month after next e.g. if you  place your order on 30th July, you would receive your first box in September. 

How often will I receive my Oxonbox?

That is completely up to you! We have a monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly option so you can decide how often you'd like to receive a box.

 

There is no contract or tie in so you can cancel whenever you like - we are very flexible.

Can I send Oxonbox as a gift?

Of course, Oxonboxes make a fantastic gift! To do this all you have to do is select the ‘gift’ option during checkout and you will be prompted to enter the details of the lucky recipient. Like our other subscriptions, you can choose how often the recipient receives their Oxonbox and you can cancel anytime. 

 

We will be introducing one-off gift hampers in the future so watch this space!

Is Oxonbox allergen free/suitable for vegetarians?

Oxonbox products may contain products that contain or have been exposed to allergens and the same goes for animal products. Unfortunately we can't offer substitutions at the moment as we are such a small business but this will hopefully be something we can offer in the future!

What's the Oxonbox cancellation policy?

As we are a small business aimed at supporting other local businesses, we ask for reasonable notice of cancellation. Please let us know if you wish to cancel by the 14th of the month prior to your next expected delivery. For example, if you are expecting a delivery in March please let us know by 14th February if you wish to cancel. This allows us to order the correct amounts from our suppliers and cuts down on waste!
